What to Expect
We are deeply honored to welcome Indigenous Elders and community members who will help us hold this day with the reverence, wisdom and spirit it deserves.
Together, we will
- Walk 1 km in solidarity - a collective stand against violence in our community
- Make our commitments to action - because solidarity without commitment is only a gesture
- Sit in circle - to listen deeply, to learn, and to be present
- Share a traditional meal of stew and bannock - for those who have been fasting in ceremony, this meal marks the sacred breaking of that fast
- Receive a Moose Hide pin - if you don't already have one, pins will be available so every person leaves carrying the commitment
